Renee graduated Syracuse University (1971) with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Renee attended summer camp for 15 years as a camper, counselor, and group leader. She is the mother of two grown daughters who were also long time campers. Renee has been the Director of Camper Placement for over 14 years and serves as a resource to parents and to the community. She has an extensive knowledge of camp programs and philosophies.
Each summer, Renee travels to dozens of ACA accredited camps. She knows the camp directors and senior staff personally and has a keen understanding of each camp's philosophy, program and facilities. She is recognized as an authority on camping and has been featured in The Associated Press, The New York Times, The New York Post, Newsday, The Journal News, Parent Guide and New York Family.
Melissa graduated Northeastern University (1994) with a BS in Elementary Education/Sociology. Melissa is a certified Early Childhood/Elementary Education Teacher and worked for over 10 years teaching both Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten before she became the Director of a Long Island Preschool. Melissa is a lifetime camper, she also worked as a CIT and Counselor and as an adult she worked as a Group Leader at one of Long Island's finest day camps.
Melissa also comes to us with 5 years of experience as a Placement Specialist and is quite familiar with the process of finding the right candidate for a position. Now Melissa looks forward to assisting you with finding the right match for your child in the world of camping! Melissa is married and has 2 daughters, ages 4 and 6.
Together Renee and Melissa have placed over 2000 campers in camps throughout the Northeast. They offer personalized service to well over 1000 parents each year.
